Nice to see some love for Yolanda's, which is a favorite of mine. I eat there for lunch at least once a week.

Me too. It is not too far from work and I have gotten some of my colleagues addicted to it.

Oh my god. The chicken tandoori literally had me moaning. I'm not an obnoxious person, and I tried to keep it down, but I think I embarrassed my wife LOL. it was so perfectly season and the spice was just hot enough to really bite but not make my eyes water. Each bite was like leprechauns were were doing back-flips on my taste buds. I breathed deeply and moaned a little under my breath. It was so flippin' good. I had multiple yumgasms. I'll be going back again this weekend. Hands down the best Indian we've had in Denver. Wife had the chicken masala which was also very good. Highly recommend!

Friggin delicious, er mer gerd!

I really have to commend you on the passion you seem to have for a good meal. I don't know what your day job is, but if you need a new career, you might want to consider food critic. I have enjoyed reading your posts

Tacos Extravaganza on W Colfax (just east of Simms IIRC).

Best street tacos I've had recently.

Mi Cocina, Littleton
-Has become our favorite Mexican on the south side. Very cheap, very filling, very good. The best (to date) sit-down bean/cheese burritos I've found in metro Denver..

Corona's, Westminster
-This is the place that made waves recently for adding the minimum wage surcharge to the bill....I don't care. Still good. Also reasonably priced, even after the surcharge. Almost fancy decor. Good service.

El Mirador, Northglenn
-Place needs a remodel. Moderately priced. Above average everything (salsa, chips, beans, sopapillas {mostly filled with air but still GOOD}).

Would you say any of the above are worth a 30+ min drive? El Mirador sounds promising but there are def closer options...

Ate at Rioja on Larimer over the weekend. First time for dinner. Loved everything about it.

Only Mi Cocina. It has a little bar, and it is pretty small, and they have two people running around with their heads cut off serving everybody (and you pay on an iPad), but the food is so worth the trip/any shortcomings; haven't yet had "bad" service, but they do get quite a lunch rush.

El Mirador was good, you can tell it wants to feel a little fancier and Mexicanier, and the menu is enormous. We may go there again when we're in the area, but we won't make a special trip.
