So, as I have been driving up Highway 83 from Colorado Springs to Aurora frequently recently, I have to ask about the big bugs painted on the concrete wall off Highway 83/Parker Rd, just as you leave Parker and enter Arapahoe County. They are most visible when heading northbound. There are about 6 big black painted ones and a pink one, and they look like some sort of beetle or cockroach. I used to make this drive about 20 years ago and I think they were there then as well, though I don't recall exactly. Anyone have any information about who put these there, when and why?
