Ah-Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!! You are FUNNY! Because back in 1858, when the city was founded, they thought "Well, I know all the people, and businesses and whatnot are here, but, dadnabit, we're to far from the gol-durned mountains! That's it, folks, pack everything up, we're moving 35 miles west!"

Also...your versus you're. Learn it, live it. Some of your statements are correct, some not. No, I won't tell you which is which.

I'm new to Colorado. I'm renting a home up by Mead and am loving the openness. Looking forward to your upcoming explorations and insights.

I was on my phone, and CD won't let me edit it to "you're". I (wrongfully) thought people could learn to be adults and overlook it.

I agree with you flamadiddle. Litter is bad but one thing to consider is: The people in that neighborhood may not be the ones doing the littering.

I live in one of the poorer sections of my town. The street I live on is one block off and parallel to a major street. There are several fast food places on the main street one block away and a lot of the people that go thru the drive thru at these places discard their wrappers on my street. I spend quite a bit of time in my garage driveway on nice days and I see these litterers constantly. I take notes of license plates etc and take pictures of them in the act. I am considering posting them on You Tube with names and addresses of the guilty parties.

I am pretty sure that Denver is in the mountains.
Every time I watch a local football game on TV it almost shows the ski lifts coming down to Mile High Stadium.
My eyes wouldn't lie to me.

-Your grass is brown.
-Your too far away from the mountains.
-Your downtown is dead.
-Full of a bunch of artsy-fartsy liberals, yet your city is smoggy and polluted.
-Pot heads.

I do have some positives about Denver, however you will need to earn them through respect.
Nope - I don't respect someone who writes "your" when it is you're. Don't care if you were on your phone.
NO MORE WIRE HANGERS!

LOL @ Typical CD sensitive response to feedback.

Most of my friends say that Denver looks bad from the Airport to Downtown as well, it's not the best intro to Denver.

Uhm, I'm quite sure JoanCrawford was not trying to say "You are grass is too brown. Etc..."

You're not earning any respect from me with your lack of grammatical knowledge.

And I tend to agree with Joan; but your downtown is getting better and I'm fine with potheads and artsy-fartsy liberals.

Edit: Hipchik pointed out correctly that I missed the incorrect usage in the 2nd line, so that part of my post to her is embarrassingly incorrect as well. She is right.

On to the OP I can't stand litter and would hate it and point it out wherever I am, including my own city.

Good lord some folks doubled up on the snark pills. As others have said, I-70 from Peña Boulevard to I-25 is a really bad way to introduce people to Denver. With the exception of Northfield Stapleton, the route is fairly gritty and heavily industrial. My wife hates traveling that section of I-70 and we're originally from here.

Thankfully the lege is gonna magically solve all those image problems by burying the viaduct and putting a deck park on top of it near the dog food factory - all for the low, low price of $1.8 billion.

It's gritty, but I wouldn't call it littered, especially on the interstates. I am not familiar with the route the bus takes from the airport to downtown.
