I'm talking like a place with a laid-back atmosphere where people can go and chat it up with whomever is there and make new friends and meet with old ones. Not somewhere you have to show up with a friend to make new friends. We have a coffee shop like that where I live in the five points area where everybody's pretty liberal. Be nice to know where to find that in Denver.

There are a crazy number of meetup groups in the Denver area. I've joined a few for hiking and motorcycling, but have yet to attend a meet.

I'm not sure what you're getting hung up on. I thought the question was pretty simple and several others understood it well enough to answer. I'm looking for the type of atmosphere that I described. I only mentioned five points because that's where the atmosphere I'm talking about exists in MY area.
