Hi guys. I normally donate 3-4 times a year but want to help in anyway I can out here. I'm from Miami and my sister lives in Orlando. Does anyone know if blood donations out here will be used for Orlando?? Is it too far away to stay fresh to help?? Please advise so tomorrow first thing I can go donate. It's the least I can do

The Bonfils on Yosemite is the nicest. Calling and making a reservation is advised.

Bonfils was just at our building taking blood donations. I wish I could have found time to donate. Thoughts and prayers to Orlando.

Just to clarify:

Quote:
Bonfils says they have not been specifically asked to send blood but OneBlood, the blood center responding in Orlando, has put out an urgent nationwide request for products.

They say blood centers across the country are experiencing shortages which are usually experienced during the summer months.

Anyone wishing to donate in honor of the Orlando shooting victims may make an appointment to do so at any of Bonfils' seven community donor centers and mention group #7300 or mention the Orlando Memorial Drive.
Donating blood is a great way to honor the victims, even if the blood won't actually be sent to Orlando.

Like I said: I donate 3-4 times a year for no reason but to have good karma. Being so I'm so far away it's what I can do to help
