So I started using a reel mower instead of gas (gas mowers aren't regulated and emissions are obscene).

I also found out there's a local mowing company using oldschool man-powered reel mowers: greenclippers.com

On top of all that, I'm thinking about switching to an electric car. Silent and clean!
Where does the power to run an electric car come from? Could it be oil, gas, or coal burning power plants?

Probably any and all of the above. But there are plenty of benefits to centralization of power. It's much easier to monitor and scrub the air coming out of a power plant than it is from a tailpipe, and far cheaper too.

Default I think it depends ...

...on where you live and where you personally get your power.

My power comes from a combination of sources... many of which I'm not extremely impressed with.

But I'm going to get solar panels on my roof as soon as I can afford it! Well, I already have some for my water heating, but I also want to get my electricity from the sun.

I guess you could say all sources of energy on earth mostly are from the sun, but hey, why not be direct and get power from solar? Get it while it's hot!!

P.S. I just got a call back from Green Clippers... they're going to be doing the sweating for me (it's hot out today!)
