Hello! I am moving from out of state to Aurora in two weeks and need to set up my gas and electric. Who do you use for these services and do you recommend using them? Thanks in advance!

There's only one provider in the Denver Metro Area: Xcel Energy.

ya seems Xcel Energy is the gas & electric provider for Aurora
(866) 235-6881 xcelenergy.com
if you are renting likely the landlord has a landlord agreement with Xcel

who pays the water? usually the landlord does this

internet
comcast (303) 930-2000
or
Centruy Link (old phone company, you get what you pay for with these peeps)

Xcel and Denver Water their customer service is generally nice and helpful.
Comast is dis-honest be careful take notes
Century Link is difficult

United Power does some of the rural areas in in Colorado

It could depend on where in Aurora. It looks like a small chunk of it might fall into IREA service territory for electric.

But for gas, it's likely going to be Xcel no matter what. (And in all honesty, likely Xcel for electricity as well.)

Really? I've been with them for about two years now and I haven't had any problems with them.

Don't you have houses? IME, tenants usually pay water in houses; landlords usually pay in apartment complexes.

My issue with them is not so much the quality of service, more their anti-solar policies and complete lack of customer service.

I do, but I think as a rule as long as there are separate water meters to the individual units, tenant pays. The only reason an apartment complex wouldn’t bill the tenants in this market is if they couldn’t split the billing to the units. I worked for a large property management company all through college (many years ago) and that was how we did it.
