Seriously though, what is your definition of "fairly inexpensive"? One year for our anniversary we went up to Estes and stayed at the Romantic Riversong. It was wonderful. Very peaceful.
Last year for our 20th we went down to Denver and stayed at the Curtis (love that place) and went to Warped Tour the next day. I'm getting wilder the older I get
It's possible we might be doing the ride along with the police one of these days.....

Wow guys! Thanks for the STELLAR advice! I didn't think asking for some romantic ideas local to DENVER was outside the rules for the DENVER forum! After all, since I am new to Colorado, I don't exactally know ALL there is to do yet. My bad! Oh, and Charles, I think a ride along with the local sheriff is the most romantic thing anyone's ever suggested. Thanks for that.
