I can't even recall how many numerous 90-105 degree days we had in Summers 2016-2017. In all fairness, it cools off a bit in August but it was hot as balls in June / July this year.

That’s a wide range and very misleading. 90 we get a bit in the summer. 105 is very rare and we never hit it in the months you mentioned. I just looked at weatherunderground and the high was in July of 2016 at 102. You may as well give a range of 95-120 next time. Equally accurate.

But, it's a dry heat. (so is an oven)

When I was living in Denver, my company started making a little noise about me taking a position with them in Phoenix. No frickin way!

I have a bit a of free time this morning. Stats are from Weather Underground and taken from the airport which tends to get hotter than other areas of the city.

In June 2016 there were 12 days over 90.
In July 2017 there were 21 days over 90 and 1 day over 100.
In August 2017 there were 15 days over 90.
In September 2017 there were 6 days over 90.

Total of 54 days over 90 and 1 over 100.

In June 2017 there were 9 days over 90.
In July 2017 there were 17 days over 90 and 2 days that hit 100 exactly.
In August 2017 there were 9 days over 90.
In September 2017 there were 9 days over 90.

Total of 45 days over 90 and 2 days of 100.

I have family in Phoenix and unfortunately I once visited them in the dead of summer. My sister used to live in Henderson, NV. A few years back we stopped at her place on our way to California and it was 114 at 7PM.

No one who has spent summers in a humid location (the south, and unbelievably, New England) will ever find humor in that trope.

Connecticut: 85 degrees, 100% humidity... for days without end, no break at night. *gaaack*

That reminds me of a trip I made to Oklahoma in 2009 in the middle of summer. It was 90+ with close to 100% humidity.

Yeah, pregnant in July in Boston wasn't a whole lot of fun either. Although I'm sure Iowa was worse!

One of my worst life experiences was a family wedding in Minnesota in August. Not only did I get poisoned-drunk at 16 (which cured me of the vile habit for life - I drink, but never to excess, and passed on all the drunken senior-year fun that screwed up more than one classmate), but I woke up in hell. My aunt's basement. 20 people on cots with deadly hangovers. Moaning. Vomiting.

And it was 90 with 100% humidity, with 20 people crowded around each of the little fans they had. There was no point in toweling off after a shower; you were just as wet by the time you tried to pull your clothes on. The first cool air I felt was days later, on the plane home.

Not a weather condition I can live with (ever again). Rocky Mountain Dry for me.
