Currently have T-Mobile since 2016. I have an iPhone. At first, T-Mobile beat Verizon, which was dead at my apartment when I moved back to Denver from the mountains in 2013. So surprised at that because I used to live near Rocky Mountain National Park, and Verizon service there, and also Cricket - in Estes Park - was terrific. That wasn't a problem when I first subscribed to T-Mobile because Verizon was so bad at my Denver apartment. I would get voice messages from clients and the message wouldn't show up until the next day with Verizon in Denver. T-Mobile was actually much better with few problems. However, that has changed.

I also need my Caller ID to show up on outbound calling.

A huge annoyance: T-Mobile does not allow no-charge conference calling from FreeConferenceCall.com without a 1 cent per minute charge. I spend significant time on Phone Bridge calls that are at least one hour, where I am always charged 1 cent per minute, which can add up. Before you diss me about the conference calls, they are for my 12 Step programs and I need them to keep my good health....an excellent investment. When I check in with other conference call/phone bridge participants, their cell carrier does not charge these 1 cent per minute charges. I'm at a loss about this! T-Mobile rates are already among the most expensive. Not only is T-Mobile among the most expensive carriers, but also, at my apartment I am generally on WIFI calling...so my calls don't even go over the T-Mobile network at my apartment. Maybe I am mis-interpreting the structure of WIFI calls?

I would like to hear from other Denverites about which cell phone carrier would be good for me. I do use a lot of cellular data. I did use Cricket in Estes Park for a while and they actually didn't drop any calls. They were one of the best. I was in mountains for 13 years, so did use 6 different carriers, including AT&T up there. Cricket was also ok in Denver. But I'll need to investigate what the new carrier provides in the way of service, as well as international calling charges. I do make 12 Step international calls over to Europe mostly and don't want to lose those freebies that T-Mobile provides. And, yeah, I know, those international calls can add up. I'd be willing to forgo that and just use What's App. Any opinions about Telegram for making those foreign calls? Ryan Reynolds advertises his MINT carrier but MINT uses T-Mobile network.

I hope a few cell and techie gurus - and users - will respond to this post and advise some good solutions. I would like to use one of the re-seller carriers like Cricket and get my bill down to $50- $75 or less, but not drop the data. Plenty of people I talk with don't pay fees as nearly expensive as T-Mobile but they do not live in Colorado. Thanking you in advance.

Cheerio!

If you were ok with Cricket and ok with AT&T, go back to Cricket... They are the exact same towers (cricket being the "budget" version of at&t)

Which major cell service works best where you need it?
I make 90% of my calls via Wi-Fi from my home office. So, home coverage is not that important.

We have T-Mobile because when we travel to Europe; it just works. $62/mo for 2 iPhones and 1 Apple Watch is OK with us.

If we never traveled nor conversed internationally, my carrier would probably be a MVNO.
