We all have lives to live and we do it with usually very little impact from crime. We take precautions and the OP and anyone else visiting should do the same but we shouldn't really change our lives to avoid the invisible bogeyman.
Yeah I agree. I mean if 1/10th of the crap people said about Aurora were true I'd have had multiple cars and catalytic converters stolen, been shot, shanked, and had my house burglarized. None of that has happened to me. The worst parts of Aurora look palatial compared to the worst parts of DFW.

Actually, I don't really worry about crime in Aurora. I worry about the police force. Worst police force in the metro area.

APD is the worst. If I had a dollar for every time they put a gun in my face I would have $4 which isn't a lot but it's weird given that I have never in my life been arrested for anything.

And I'm a dorky looking white guy. I can only imagine.
