Hi, I was wondering if someone could tell me what the job market is like in Denver for lawyers, namely corporate/finance lawyers? I am a foreign lawyer working for a big US law firm in Europe, but am qualified in New York.

Are there jobs in the big firms for corporate/finance lawyers?

Thanks!

check out cobar.org. I am sure with Big Law experience you should get some interviews. But like most cities, Denver law is very alumni-based. If you are a grad from CU or DU, it helps a lot more. Good Luck.
Also, check out CU and DU. They both have job newsletters that you can get a subscription for about $40 for 6 months. I did that when I first moved out here. They list many jobs and they are electronic.

I am posting a reply a bit late, but I am a lawyer and am making the move from NYC to Denver in December. There are a number of large US firms with offices in Denver, so I would assume that there is a decent market for corporate and finance attorneys- but I am a patent attorney, so I really can't be sure.

I used a legal recruiter to find a job here, and I was very happy with her. I do not have any connections in Denver, so it was really helpful to use someone that is locally connected. I can give you her name/contact info if you'd like...just let me know.

Anyway, good luck with the job search!
