Yep, winter is here! Downtown is not really snowing, but omg freezing, especially with the wind. And then it's supposed to be nice over the weekend. I wonder if we have a white Christmas??

Oh how fun. Maybe this thread will last all winter!

I was thinking about snow just this morning as I was seeing it hit my windshield on the way to work.

Then I turned the radio on and heard the news people on the radio saying, "This is horrible! The horrible terrible snow!"

Snow is a good thing, people. This state and other states and the people in them need snow. It's about darn time. I think what's horrible and scary is the days weeks and months we have with no snow. The 70° weather is what we don't need in December.

What people need to do is adjust to it. Learn how to drive a bit more slowly in it. Don't believe me, look at the news articles about the wrecks you guys are having up there. So maybe don't tailgate in your SUV so much while your reading your book, horfin' your face with your taco, texting your BFF! It's Hanna! No, it's not!!!!!!!!

Good point McG! I wish I had a dollar for everytime I have seen drivers texting while driving. Reading the paper is even worse. What are these people thinking, for crying out loud?

On the subject of snow, Grand Jct. hasn't gotten any in town, and probably won't till close to Christmas. 70 degrees is great and all, but the drier it stays, the more I think of 2002-and wildfires.

We ARE in a drought cycle.

omg that gets my vote for post of the day.

My DH was rear-ended this morning by some silly lady in her SUV. Funny though, his car has just a small dent and her entire front end is gone. He said he could see her creeping closer and closer. He tried to pump his breaks but she wouldn't back off. Finally a bus turned in front of him and he stopped to a nice slow halt while she kept on going into his end.

I'm really glad I bus most the way home.

And yeah, we do need snow because it's Denver.

So did he go for the California Lottery?

That's when you hold your neck and say, "OUCH!" when you get out of the car.

wow. My mom said that they got plenty in Durango.

My super smart coworker likes to apply her makeup while driving to work.

You're right, mcgow... it's always the SUV's who end up causing the wrecks, ending up in the ditch, etc... during snowstorms. I think that they forget that 4 wheel drive does not mean 4 wheel stop. I can't beleive how many people tailgate in the snow and ice... how foolish!

I'm loving this snow. It's beginning to look alot like Christmas!
