My husband has a new job in Longmont and needs a furnished place for 3-4 months before I move out.

He's ok with a commute north to Longmont and people have mentioned Lafayette, but willing to be a little closer to the city. We also are looking for something under $800 a month.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Why not start looking in Longmont?

When we initially made the move here, we were in the same situation. My husband stayed at an extended stay hotel in Denver - which was paid for by his employer. However, I agree with Suzco. If your husband will be working in Longmont, why not look in Longmont and nearby vicinity first?

I don't know anything about these particular listings, but a quick Google turned up several extended stay options.

I"d agree with Longmont. There are no large apt. complexes in Lafayette; it might be possible to find some sort of a private, short term furnished rental, but I think you'd have better luck with place TexaCo linked in Longmont itself.

I believe there is a long-term motel in the Gunbarrel area of Boulder, which is close to Longmont. I can't remember if it's Residence Inn or another one of those chains.

We've been in a fully furnished corporate apartment for two months (thank goodness our house closes this week). But we are paying $107/night, which adds up to over $3,000/month. You won't find corporate housing for $800/month....believe me, I checked. We used Marriott Execustay, and they were by far the least expensive (and I did check with Oakwood, Bridgeport and ExecuNet). We have a 2br/2 bath unit. A studio or 1 b/r would be cheaper, but not by much...probably in the $80/90 night range, which is still nowhere near $800/month. The least expensive corporate/temporary furnished housing I've seen was with Extended Stay America and Homestead Suites, but even their cheapest rooms were at least $50/night, which is in the $1,500 range for a month. You might check Craigslist for a private rental....
