This is awesome! They are calling for 18"+ of snow for the foothills and about 12" for metro Denver. Looks like this winter will be a snow filled winter for Denver. I love it!!!!!!! The more snow the better.

Helpful that it's predicted for tonight.
People can *mostly* keep their Saturday plans.
Tomorrow most folks can sleep in, shovel and/or play outside, and come back in for hot cocoa. Worry about Monday later.

So far it's a yawner. My grass has a little more than a dusting. Streets and my car is clear of snow.

How risky do you think it is to travel up to Breck today, stay the night and head back to Denver on Sunday? We have a well equipped vehicle (AWD with snow tires).

Summit county is supposed to get 8-16", how well is I-70 taken care of during snow storms? Getting up there shouldn't be a problem, it's getting back that's a concern. Looking for some advice from the locals.

We've been here 2 months and this weather is amazing! Big change from Wisconsin weather, in a very good way.

I think you are exaggerating the snow totals, not sure why though.

They've said since it's an El Nino year, Denver should be warmer than normal and have more snow than normal. Sounds exactly like the past couple weeks - from a foot and a half of snow to sunny and mid 70s. As long as it melts fast...

The only place I want to see ice is in my cocktail!

Highlands Ranch had 12 inches total. With Denver only getting 8 inches. Looks like a 6-12 inch range across Denver and I-25 corridor. The higher elevations west of Denver have totals in the 8-14 inch range. The storm fizzled out towards the end. Can't complain. 8-12 inches of snow is good. I love it, bundle up tonight as its gonna get into the teens.
