Someone please tell me where I can find GOOD fried fish tacos in Denver ... I moved from Atlanta where I used to get the BEST fish tacos at Taqueria Del Sol. They put fried fish in a soft taco along with green tomatillo salsa, queso blanco & jalapenos ... HEAVEN!!! I am having withdrawals!

Fried? Baja Fresh has them and they can be good. I normally go with the grilled ones at Wahoo's Fish Tacos as I think they are better than fried. If you head down to Colorado Springs, Monica's Taco Shop has a pretty damn good fried fish taco. I wouldn't mind hearing some recommendations myself.

Illegal Pete's has fried fish burritos and a bowl (I just happen to have had the Big Fish Bowl myself last night). Rubios has tacos.

Like Denver_Hacker, I've had pretty good fried fish tacos at Rubio's and Illegal Pete's. (I prefer Rubio's.) Yolanda's makes a great tuna taco.

I tried Illegal Pete's & it was okay, but didn't really blow my socks off or anything ... I think I will try Rubio's & Baja Fresh next ... wish I was closer to the Springs so I could try Monica's as well ...

I totally forgot about Wahoo's! I love their green sauce. No idea what's in it, but I could drink it straight.

Yeah when I don't get the tacos, I get the enchiladas with green sauce. I actually live within walking distance of two Wahoos.

Default atl - fish tacos

I too moved from atl ~2years ago, and have sought the same thing. fish tacos from taqueria were so good as were the maragritas. mexican restaurants out here also dont have white cheese dip. or at least the twenty or so i've tried. las cocintas on 29th have the best fish tacos i've had out here by far. they arent anything like taqueria, but after trying a ton of others, they are the best i've had. miss me some el myr, carvers, dekalb farmers market, figo, and especially tortillas, if you're that old. out here, im sure there are plenty of good spots, but i have had trouble finding them. jack and grills is good. and they sell roasted chilis here like boiled p-nuts in the south. good luck, if you find a taqueria-like fish taco. please post if you found it.
