A friend of mine has quit his job as a Unix system administrator in order to move to California. This job is not located in Denver, but I am posting here because I figure with the economy as bad as it is, it could help a qualified person who might happen to be down on his or her luck.

So, in a nutshell the job is located out in the middle of nowhere, very far from the Denver area. You would one of the primary persons responsible for running a medium-sized network with Unix, Linux and some Windows servers. You need to be experienced with system and network administration. You need to be willing to provide on call support (but this is not frequently an issue.) You need to be capable of being a primary point-person for troubleshooting and fixing issues and for running the network and deploying applications.

It's a very stable job. My friend was in it for five years. It doesn't pay big city salary, but you would be living in one of the cheapest places in the country so it balances out.

I have no personal interest in seeing the job filled. I'm posting this because I wanna help people who are out of work. Call me a humanitarian.

Direct message me if you're interested in learning more details.

You might wanna try in the NC forum, coz that's where Bank of America and Wachovia have laid off tons of system admins (Unix and Windows).
