My wife and I are flying into Denver Int. Airport Thursday at 7 pm and immediately driving out to Copper Mountain that evening. We'd like to stop and grab dinner on the way... doesn't matter if it's in Denver, near Copper, or anywhere in between.

Any recommendations for something delicious? We're casual people and don't like dressing up, but we'll spend just about anything if it's a good meal.

Default Beau Jo's

Beau Jo's Pizza in Idaho Springs.

It is an interesting and unique spot in an old mining town.

You may be cutting it close to their 9p closing time however.

Try El Rancho in Evergreen (Evergreen Parkway exit)...great old school "Colorado" place. Or there is the Charthouse just an exit or two before that. Both good choices right off the highway.

The problem with most of the suggestions is timing. If your flight arrives at 7 pm (assuming it's on time) by the time you get your luggage and car it's going to be close to 8:00. Many restaurants stop serving at 9:00. You might be able to make it to the Chart House in time, but it will be close.
There is a Ted's Montana Grill in Aurora that isn't far from the airport. Here's a link: Ted's Montana Grill (http://www.tedsmontanagrill.com/COAurora1.html - broken link)
Mapquest says it's 12.5 miles and 16 min. away.

240 Union Restaurant, where the city meets the foothills

A mile or so south of I-70 on 6th (major highway) on the west side of Denver just before you enter the foothills. It's expensive, but good.

Oh, and you can wear jeans anywhere in Denver.

Also, I-70 takes your right past Colorado Mills mall. Here's a list (map) of restaurants near there:
