Being on one side of the freeway versus the other won't make a difference in home value or ease of sale here in Des Moines. We don't have the kind of traffic congestion that would really affect anyone's buying decision in that way.

All the school districts in the subruban Des Moines area are outstanding. West Des Moines is served by two school districts - Waukee Community Schools and West Des Moines Community Schools. Both are outstanding and living in one district versus the other would have no effect on home value and/or ease of sale. For what it's worth, I went to school (HS and JR HS) in south suburban Minneapolis and I'm certain the suburban schools in Des Moines are as good and probably better.
