Please don't put a Little Caesars pizza guy logo on the roof of the arena. Put a big Red Wing logo up there instead.

It does not make sense. Little Caesars is pretty much the only Pizza place that does not serve Wings.

Ford Field was named after the owners' company, Ford Motor Company. I don't remember anyone having an issue with that. So what is the problem with the Ilitches naming their new arena after the successful company they founded?

It's not that. People just don't like the name for an arena. Ford field and Comerica Park does sound better than "Little Ceasers Arena" imo.

Ford Field sounds fine because it's such a neutral name.

Comerica Park sounded incredibly awkward at first. It sounds fine now because we've been calling it that for so long.

Lol that's true. Everyone will be used to it sooner or later. Just a fun topic to talk about. I've heard much worse arena names.

Only 1 person likes the name lol wow.

I still refer to it as tiger Stadium and people look at me oddly. I have changed to "The place where the Tigers play"

Will it still be Comerica Park after Comerica goes out of business?

They could have named it Olympia which was also a company they founded.

It's mainly the nostalgia factor. The Ford name has been around since forever so having something else with the Ford name is nothing new. Many people still incorrectly refer to Comerica Park as Tiger Stadium because Tiger Stadium is more memorable. The Joe Louis name too has history behind it.

Little Ceasers doesn't really invoke any longstanding memories. Unless it's something like your first job as a teenager or something. If there's no history behind the name then people don't think it's going to stick around in the future.

Alas, for me it invokes a memory of throwing up off a balcony. That may have been 25 years ago, but it is still hard for me to eat little Caesars. (Not terrible Pizza, ut the taste brings back an awful memory. Funny thing, the real culprit - Tequila - does not bring back the same memory).
