if things are that tough? i would sell the PC. and if you have a cell phone that would go next.

That's kind of harsh. I am not familiar with the workings of Oakland county. Do you have an apartment complex in mind? I used to work for Head Start. Most of my families had section 8 housing. If memory serves me correctly they had to be accepted by the complex, then their name went on a waiting list while the application to section 8 was made. But as I say, that was some time ago and the process may have been altered since then. I would ask at the office of the apartemnt complex.

yes it was harsh. but in todays age of anything goes and nothing is your fault.
sometimes a dose of reality is in order.

i have been broke and lost my home years ago. the first things that went was the pc then phones.
i have been there.

I think you call the county and then do the proper ppw and then you search for housing that accepts Section 8.

I have been there, too, and sometimes it isn't your fault. Sometimes people just get one bad break after another.

I agree...you shouldn't be so harsh. Everyone has different circumstances and just because you wound up on section 8 doesn't mean you're a low life. I know the general attitiude is that poor people on public assistance drain taxpayers money, really the govt just wastes it, then they cut programs to the poor claiming that will fix the problem. It really just perpetuates the myth in the mind of the public.....OK...let me have it!
