Look up the information on Citydata. I am not sure if it is the same place, but we looked at a house in "China" and whatever school district it was, is terrible. That may not be East China, not sure.

There is a town or township in Michigan called China. Apparently there is also a school district called East China. That is why this was posted in the Detroit Michigan boards.

My sister's kids go to the East China schools, and she's very happy with the schools and the quality of education there. (Her oldest is in 9th grade, middle child is in 5th grade, youngest in pre-school). They might have to move in the next year or two, and they want to move to a nearby city so her kids can stay in the East China district, even if it means driving a half hour!

My cousins went to East China schools and their folks were happy with the arrangement. All three went on to college and are gainfully employed -- two of them in Michigan, b'gosh!
