I generally have no use for corn based foods---chips, tortillas, etc. Once a week I have pizza & once a week is as much as I would eat Mexican food. But no way is wheat or corn ever going to be a daily staple.

its funny how you put it "i have no use." its just a preference. if you wanted to eat some corn based foods it wouldnt hurt you.

but since blueberries have vitamins, fiber, and are not that calorie dense, and because I love them and they help make life worth living, I will stick to them.
Depends on the person. If a Type 2 diabetic wants to get off medication they may need to seriously limit carb intake.
of course American Diabetes assoc does not recommend avoiding all fruit. I mean you COULD decide that ADA is too cautious about using radical changes in diet to avoid medication. thats an argument I can see. Of coure Ornish would say the same about sat fat - that AHA is way to cautious about using radical reduction in sat fat to avoid meds for cholesterol. Somehow the folks who are quick to seriously limit carbs with an intuitive argument about diabetes that even the ADA does not make, or not quite so quick to go in the same direction wrt sat fats.
