Another thing to remember is to eat often, small meals, 5 or 6 times a day. I eat every 2 1/2 hours or so, sometimes 2, but never more then 3 hours apart. Your body/metabolism needs fuel to burn and if you don't eat enough, it will conserve everything you put into it. One of the biggest things I have learned over the past few years, is that my metabolism was so bad that it just saved everything I put into my body. For the longest time I couldn't understand how I could only eat once a day and not lose a thing, or even worse, sometimes gain...now, I understand why.
Weight loss can be accomplished without drastic surgery that changes your life forever AND your metabolism can be repaired, however, it does not happen overnight, you need to make a plan and stick to it. It helps to write down the foods you plan to eat ahead of time, so you can keep track of how you do throughout the day. If you're out, take your snacks with you, 1oz of raw almonds or cashews are a great snack to have on the go.
