I get that the body will fluctuate weight on an hour to hour and day to day basis.

But trying to understand weight fluctuations and correlation to how one "feels".

From yesterday to today my weight is up 4 lbs (173 lbs to 177 lbs). I'm figuring it's water weight.

But honestly, yesterday when I was "lighter" I didn't feel that great. I felt like I had more water weight. Just extra "jiggle" in my body .

Today, my body feels a bit "tighter" and tone. But scale says I'm up 4 lbs.

I know that things will normalize in the next day or so but just confused.

FYI I am on OMAD (one meal a day) and have been very consistent.

I suggest weighing yourself only once a week and not focusing so much on how you feel. If you are trying to lose weight, the day to day fluctuations can make you crazy, and not only that, the more you concentrate on your feelings, the stranger you start to feel.

My husband recently lost 40 pounds through changing his diet and exercising, but I think a large part of his success was that he picked up a new hobby which took up a lot of time and distracted him from thinking about food, weight, etc.

I agree with this sentiment and probably should weigh myself less. It's almost OCD now.

Imo, weigh yourself once every 7 days, preferably in the morning.after waking.
