I weigh myself daily. Doing this keeps me on track. I have lost 12 pounds total from last year and kept it off. I want to lose another 10 pounds to put me into the 122-124 lbs weight. I am about 5'3 1/2". I want to weigh what I weighed before I had my last child 8 years ago. Slow and steady wins the race

I don't weigh myself very often because I was Anorexic for 9 years when I was younger...Feel lucky that I came to my senses before I ended up dead...Never want to go down that "slippery slope" ever again...Don't get all caught up in how much I weigh...or don't weigh anymore....Let my feelings guide me about when to eat or how much to eat in one sitting....If I catch myself over-eating I know that I am trying to "stuff" or "bury" some of my feelings....and I stop and deal with my emotions these days.

Wow! Congratulations! Can I ask how long it took you to lose the weight and how long you've kept it off?

I voted: weekly (at the gym)

It's not that important to me especially since I'm going through a transition doing a good bit of weight training along with cardio. I'm with LaoTzuMindFun.

Once a week, Friday, first thing in the morning. My weight can swing 2 or 3 lbs morning to evening or sometimes day to day, so weighing every day - much less multiple times a day! - would be counter productive for me. Seeing a consistent drop week to week is good enough for me.

Down 35 lbs in the last 3.5 months from adding exercise and changing diet - 50 lbs to go!

That is great! Congratulations! Can I ask what you do as far as exercise? I have about the same amount of weight to lose, and have lost 10 pounds since starting what I call "my lifestyle change" a week ago. I eat healthy and walk as much as I can. I just don't know what other exercises to incorporate. Any suggestions would be mucho appreciated!

As for weighing myself, I do that every few days, always right after I get up in the morning. There is to much of a difference if I weigh myself at different times of the day, and I'm afraid I would get discouraged. I'll probably just weigh in once a week from now on though.
