Does anyone have any tips on how to care for a newly diagnosed dog with diabetes?? Any suggestions would be very helpful...Thank you...

google diabetes in dogs and you will find all sorts of hints and tips as well as very good medical advice.

did the dog get insulin etc from the vet?
at first you need to control the blood sugar and know what to do if the
dog goes into shock. Many dogs lead a great life with insulin and the proper
food. However, you really do need a vet you trust to help. They also need
to go potty lots til it gets under control.
