It is definitely the weather. When it gets really hot, I either do the early walks with my dogs or I just play games with them in the house. We have some really cheap agility equipment that I set up and I just run (waddle these days) around the house with them, play fetch with them and get them to go up and down the stairs. That way, they still get their exercise and we don't have to go into the heat and humidity that has been visiting too much lately! Practice your leash walking in the house too so that once it does cool down, the transition will be an easy one.
It was extremely hot around 2P when we walked. We didn't walk far, but he wanted to walk. Maybe it is because he's a Yorkshire Terrier~? Are Terriers like this~? He has his own mind and when he doesn't want to do something like walking, he's very determined.
oh absolutly terriers are strong willed and stubborn.
