It's really weird - she is well trained, never goes in the house.
EXCEPT when this one particular 19 yr old girl visits. As soon as she walks in the door, Cocoa runs to the door & pees. Sits on sofa, cocoa jumps on sofa & pees, sits on floor, Cocoa pees in front of her.
Last night she went 5 times!
Girl ame over again today - acted very "cool" so as not to excite the dog. Mattered not - dog came near her & pee'd.
The girl has a very high pitched & loud voice - wonder if this could be it?
However, dog's tail is always up in air & wagging - not like she is scared.
I had a dog who did that - I eventually figured that she was saying, "Mi casa, su casa. Make yourself at home! Can I get you anything? A bone? A piece of cat **** to nibble on? Make yourself comfortable! You can even pee here!"
My friend's dog is like that with me. I just take him in the front yard to greet him, rather than in the house. He pees all over the lawn, then we walk back in.
Gee - am surprised to hear its that way with others.
But WHY? WOuld love to know what it is about her that causes this.
It is funny by now - but we certainly try not to laugh. That would probably encourage her.
Our dog always gets excited when my dd comes home from college for a visit----we have to make sure the dog is not on carpeting or furniture, because she always pees! That often happens when some other young women visit, too. I try to take the dog out for a pee ahead of time if I am expecting female visitors. She used to pee like that with any visitor, now it's just with young women. Another of our dogs was the same way but he eventually outgrew it.
my mother in law had a dog that did that every time i came over. she was just happy to see me and would lose control of her bladder(the dog that is- my MIL was never happy to see me )
