So what do you guys think about this... Our neighbor has a dog - keeps him lock up in his house - they are never home... I mean never... The Dog barks so loud you can hear him 2 houses away for a continuous 8 hours straight... I feel for the animal but this is abuse to me... nevermind the disturbance to our peace...
I know, right? So many stupid replies in this thread, starting with that one.
Bad dog owners make me sick. The only concern I would have with calling animal control is the neighbor will know who did it and it may have ramifications down the road. I'd check with other neighbors, maybe ask them to talk to the couple as well if they haven't already. At the very least this will eliminate the guy from knowing for sure who called animal control.
I had a hound (for 14 years) whose nature was to bark. She was vocal. Being vocal to her was almost as important as eating. Only running came ahead of vocalizations. Ooops - except for food, which came before all. I got some cooperation from her by making sure she got to RUN a couple miles a day - along with some field sniffing time.
She never stopped being vocal - but she did learn to minimize it.
