HI,

I have three dogs so trying to save some money I bought the cheapie battiers online. I used them a few years no problem. Now one dog pulling on another dogs collar broke the top off the batter cap and I cannot get the battery out. Any Ideas?

Thanks,
STeve

I just asked my husband -- the home-repair guru -- and the only suggestion that he had was this although, if the battery is wedged in really tight, it might not work. But worth a try.

Take a good strong piece of duct tape and press it onto the battery end really firmly. Push it so that it gets the most adherence that it can. Then take the end(s) of the duct-tape and pull so that, hopefully, the battery will come with it.

You could also try to get a thin knife blade between the battery and the wall to urge the battery out, but it doesn't look like there's very much space at all around the battery. I'd try the duct tape trick first.

Good luck!

Turn it upside down.... Take it to a battery place or mechanic & let them remove it.
