While I was gone from this site for 8 months, I got a 3rd dog..a tiny chihuahua baby and named him Tiny.. He is almost full-grown and weighs 4 lbs now!
Tiny is so precious and I really got lucky when I chose him out of the litter. He looked up at me with those big, blue (now brown) eyes, and looked right into my eyes and I knew that he was coming home with me . I normally go to the pound, and this was not a planned event! I was actually at the BK drive-thru with hubby and saw a lady in the parking lot with a kennel full of itty, bitty black things. I hopped out of the truck and had to go see what they were. When I saw that they were such tiny, baby chihuahuas I HAD to get one. I ended up running down the street to the ATM to get the money for the pup, with my hubby chasing me down with his truck, yelling, "NO! NO!"..but there was no stopping me from that precious puppy..he was already mine ! I love my Tiny !
In fact my guess he is from a family that just bred their dog.......a BYB at the worst.
Puppy mills have a market for their litters.
IF the breeder had taken the pups to a shelter you would have thought giving the pup a home as a great thing.
Do I support this type of breeding????
NO!!!
Maybe a few more days in the parking lot of BK will teach them not to do it again.
