I like all dogs big or small if they have nice personalities!

Come to think about it, true dog lovers would never say they hate dogs because of their small size.. They just might have a preference for the larger breeds.

You must not have much experience then. My parents had two Chihuahuas that were easily trained and always welcomed visitors. They were very smart dogs and would run off large breed dogs out of the yard.

I rather have a medium-large dog but to say you "hate" smaller dogs just sounds immature. Especially on a dog forum.

I agree with your post...Using the word hate, doesn't sound like a person who cares much for animals.

I've had dogs of all sizes and so far my little Lhasa Apso has been the easiest to train and the smartest of all the dogs I've owned. She's also the best watch dog I've had.

I can't understand the appeal of the larger dogs... Every time I go to my brother's I can look forward to his pit bull jumping all over me and peeing all over the floor in excitement.

The same applies to my friend's standard poodle... He's actually house trained really well but still loves to jump on people... Want to sit on the couch? Better save room for the dog!

What is it with the large dogs?

Oh wait... It's not the dog... It's the owner.

Signed,

Chihuahua owner

small dogs aren't the only ones with small brains...just sayin.

No real dog person would make such an ignorant comment like the OP. Small dogs have their place and many people prefer them over large dogs for all sorts of reasons.

I've owned numerous small dogs and not one of them were yappy. It's all about trainingmod cut

Every dog has the heart and soul of a wolf, on the inside. They don't know whether they're big or small. They just are. And I don't even know why I read all 4 pages of this troll thread.....must be to read the great replies from real dog people...

Yes count me in, they seem to be vicious little beggars, and did you know most of them are not proper dogs at all but a result of severe interbreeding, with lots of health problems, which explains a lot. People who like tiny dogs should just get a cat FFS, doesn't need as much attention, doesn't make horrible yapping noises, cleaner, and better.
