I came across a backyard breeder's post on Facebook of short-muzzled rottweiler puppies for sale. Is this a new fad? I can't imagine that would be good for the dog. And I stated so.

Why can't they just leave dogs alone! These backyard breeders seem to breed to the lowest common denominator and of course, it is always the dogs that suffer.

Rottweiler should a have a short strong muzzle. Some of the ill bred backyard carelessly bred rottweilers have long skinny snouts that are very incorrect and indicate that the dog is not purebred.

Exactly! They are also to be short stocky with blocky heads. Study the standards ....

Yeah, the pics show a muzzle that's a bit skinny... for a rottie. It looks unusual. No reply to my comment on the post, though.
