Well, I don't want to sound like Scrooge, but the only way I would is if I thought they were really overheated and needed to cool down. And if they were getting that hot I would probably have taken them home! I spend enough giving 5 animals the best food and everyday treats I can, cat toys, toys that hold up to pittie chewers, and other supplies. And what extra money I have goes to the shelter animals. So I almost always skip frills like toys that won't last more than a day or $3 ice cream. It doesn't mean I love them any less, and I don't think they feel they're missing out!

When I lived in Connecticut, we went to this local ice cream "farm" where they had very delicious homemade ice cream. I noticed that they had a doggie bowl -- it was ice cream and (dog) cookies. One time that summer when we went, I brought Artie and bought it for him. I don't remember how much it was but it was probably more than $3 -- it was Connecticut, after all.
It was a nice treat for him. I may have brought him -- and bought it for him -- a second time, but I don't recall. I think it may have been a one-time treat.
What am I missing here, ice cream is one of the most unhealthy things I can eat so why would I give it to a dog? Sounds like a recipe for runny stools.
used to have a friend who would buy a special dairy queen small cone for her dog to enjoy while she had one herself.
No I would not buy a special doggie ice cream for my dog. I don't offer any treats outside of the 2 meals a day. Wish I could say the same for my kids!
