My Leo developed a funny ritual when I get home and let him out of his cage.. He stretches and lets out a long howl. I think it's cute. How does your dog greet you?

That's super cute!

Mine does the normal run to the front door to greet us with tail wags followed by darting across the house to the back door to go outside.

My dog has run of the apartment while I'm gone, so I'll typically hear his collar jingling (from shaking his head after waking up, I assume) as I walk up the stairs. When I open the door, he might do a quick lap or two around the room and then sits and waits for hugs & kisses - with his tail/butt wagging, of course. If he's REALLY excited he'll grab a toy to run around with, or jump on the sofa and do his "rabble rabble" dance. Not sure what else to call it, LOL.

I specifically trained him not to jump or knock me down, and also taught him to redirect the energy to a toy. He occasionally forgets this training, especially if I'm getting back from a trip, but overall is pretty well-behaved with the "welcome home" routine.

P.S. I can't watch your video now, since I'm on a work computer - so I'll watch it later!

My dog will look up from his seat on the couch. That's about it. When he was younger he would be at the door, jumping up and down, and want me to sit so he could snuggle and lick. If there was a storm when I was gone I would see him peek around the corner. When he saw it was me he loved me like I was gone for a year.

Mine are left outside during the day so when I pull up to the fence they all are sitting there. Three of them will bark at me until I open the gate, the other three usually just wag their tails.

When we get inside the house it usually involves the dogs running around in circles happy that I'm home. It gets pretty hectic until they settle down.

When I am working, Darcy goes to doggy daycare. As soon as I pull up and open the door, she is at the big window, which she can barely see over, and jumping up and down. She then goes to all the other dogs to let them know that mom has come to get her. Once they open the door, she runs circles around me while I try to pet her.

When I am home, Darcy greets me at the back door with her tail wagging and waiting to be petted and fed.

My dog greats me at the door as I enter from the garage. She does a routine of spinning in circles as her butt practically wags off of her! Then she runs up the first flight of stairs, stops, waits to make sure I'm behind her, goes up the next flight and contines with the spinning and wagging into the living room. Waits for me to set down all my stuff, the I get on the floor and pet her and talk to her.

I'm not really allowed to leave home without him.

But when I do sneak out he meets me at the door with wiggles and kisses.
