Just curious if you like the way your healthy, NOT WET, not sweaty, just their normal dog smell?

DH says I'm crazy, cause I like my dogs' natural odor. Ill pick up and smell his feet, its where his smell is most concentrated. But, I'm very into smells, when DH is out of town I will wear t-shirt that smells like him, to bed.

Anyone else? Or I'm just crazzeee

Yes, I love the smell of a healthy dog, especially when it's a really young puppy!! Our little guy is nine months now, and I remember the exact day he lost his puppy breath. I was so disappointed!

I'm really into smell in general too, cislga. We have that in common with dogs!

I actually don't like the smell of dogs' feet. Apparently a lot of mammals paw pads have a similar corn chip type scent. I don't enjoy it but I remember seeing a big cat expert that always loved to smell the paws of the lions and cheetahs he worked with. There is a woman who runs a fox rescue that told me the same about fox paws.

What I love is the way my dogs' coats smell when they come in from outside.

I am not alone

Very interesting about the cat/fox paws. My reaction to smelling my dog is very primal. I relax when I smell his paws, very different from most, I am sure.

Ah, puppy breath is coming soon

I am very close to having a new "tribe" and am very excited. It's been along time coming.

I read recently the "corn chip" odor is the bacteria on their feet---- or as they stated, the dog's body odor.

You are not alone! Puppy breath is my favorite, though I also appreciate healthy adult dog smells. I find it comforting.
I also love the smell of horses, even if it often is a mix of sweat, hay, and poop.

Why Do Dog Feet Smell Like Fritos?
I like the end of the article where it turns it around and says "Why do fritos smell like dog feet."

It must just be their smell, cause he eats nothing with corn in it. I just double checked his food, Blue Buffalo, no corn. I make his treats myself, no corn.

I did read on ingredient list, it contains garlic....I thought garlic wasn't good for dogs...hmmm....
