Walter's "bed" is whatever spot he happens to be laying in happily snoring, snotting, farting and chasing the bunnies in his dreams.

My Kira used to sleep right beside my bed her favorite spot. She did have her own basket but for some reason she always fell asleep beside my bed. I always thought she was watching out for me.

Chaos sleeps in her dog bed beside my bed every night when I am home and when I work my 3 night shifts and sleep during the day she is right there too. Dazzle sleeps on my bed which I think he thinks is his bed being he sleeps in it every night while I only get the bed 4 nights/wk and I do not think the days count as far as he is concerned. The only time he was really interested in the dog bed in the bedroom was when I bought the new orthopedic one last year for Chaos when she was sick and having trouble and being it took her for ever to get up stairs he would race ahead when he knew I was going to bed and climb in her bed so when she got up there he was snuggled in it.She would stand there looking at him waiting for me to tell him to get out of it. It is now several months old and she is all recovered so he no longer has any interest in it...ahhhh brothers! I have dog bed down stairs and they both will use it but Chaos more often then Dazzle as he tends to go upstairs to sleep on his ( my) bed.

Tucker generally sleeps in his bed in the living room or the den if I'm in one of those rooms but he'll sack out on a sofa or the floor, too. He has a bed in the bedroom that he'll use when it's warm but most of the winter, he uses my bed. He does generally keep to his own side, however.

Our dogs hit their crates when the day is done. We don't even have to prod them. They know it's their restful domain.

Life would be unbearable if we had to share our queen size bed with a 90lb male GSP, a 65lb female GSP and an old grumpy basenji. The only time my dogs sleep in my bed is when I'm hunting and I take the truck camper. I'm usually by myself so there is room on the queen for all of us- plus it's about the only decent place for man and beast to sleep.

Our dog sleeps on her dog beds for the most part. We have one in the living room and another 2 in the bed room with us. The one in the living room is squeezed between the couch and the ottoman. She prefers to be close to us. One of the beds in our bedroom is next to our bed while she doesn't like the 2nd doggy bed in the room. I might put that one in the car for her when she rides with us.

We do not allow her on furniture. We have carpet everywhere except for the bathroom and kitchen so comfort isn't an issue for her anywhere.

My dog seems to love his bed. When it's about time for bed, I take my cup to the kitchen and take my medications, then step outside for a smoke, come back in and (this is key) put down the lock bar on the sliding door. Usually, before I turn around, he's already run into the bedroom and is waiting by his crate. Sometimes he's already in his crate waiting for me to close the door.

During the day, he pretty much sleeps either on the couch or with my husband.
