Trouble is, being sick leaves behind sick breath. I just spoke to my vet and he told me never give her people mouthwash as it has sugar and alcohol but i can swab her mouth with peroxide. Yeah, like she's gonna let me in her mouth.

If she's healthy otherwise, what is she getting to eat? Kibble or canned food? She shouldn't be getting gas with her regular food, either. Mine gets kibbles with a small spoonful of whatever was leftover from dinner the night before - a spoonful is barely a taste, she's about 80 lbs - and she gets raw soup bones to chew on. Her last checkup the vet said she had good breath for a dog, and to keep on doing whatever I was doing, because it was working just fine.
