Not to detract from Oogy or any other story, but I had to post the before and after pix of my heart dog, Kidd, pulled from a fighting pit in 2003 at about 7 months old. Nose and jaw broken, teeth missing, ears chewed up, flat footed from being raised on concrete, and very, very sick and very, very unsocialized...and last summer in front of the house. This dog IS my heart. Some days I wondered if we all were going to make it through getting him adapted to life...but he's here and he's wonderful and he's mine, and I just had to share with fellow dog lovers.

Hi, Sam I Am,
Yes, he is beautiful. You, AliceT and Riveree are all heros. It takes a lot of encourage to rescue dogs. I always wonder whether I can ever do it myself. Giving a little bit money is easy. Taking in several rescue dogs and nurturing them to health are totally different stories.

Wow, Kidd looks like 2 different dogs! The whole body stance and everything. Dogs are amazingly resilient.
