That is quite a lot. I usually give mine a heaping tablespoon and she is 100lbs. I'm not sure what reaction she may have, she may be constipated or very much the opposite or she may be fine. What symptoms did she have that prompted you to give it to her?

Other than getting the runs, it isn't going to hurt the dog. Relax.

I think she will be fine but that is way too much!! If you are not sure of a dose of anything, Google it! Also, make sure it is pure pumpkin, not the pie mix.

I agree with Cabot - other than some digestive issues the dog should be fine as long as it was pure pumpkin. Even if it was pumpkin pie mix, I'm guessing the main problem would be digestive issues. I think the only additives in the mix are sugar and the standard pumpkin pie spices.

Our 12 lb dog gets about 1 teaspoon twice a day. If it's something you plan on doing regularly, we open the can and freeze 4 oz cubes. That way there isn't a full can setting in the fridge for weeks at a time.

I fed my elderly cat baby food chicken. I would freeze it in ice cubes, then pop them out and store in Ziploc bags. They get freezer burn otherwise. Also, try baby pumpkin in little jars. Get the organic, no sugar/salt added type. One jar is about enough for an average sized dog.
