I found that out the hard way. I will never go to a dog park again. She started saying immediately after the incident, "My livelyhood! I work with my hands! My livelyhood!"
Oh Lordy.
I would go ahead and get a lawyer, and see if they can dig up any past frivolous lawsuits this woman has conjured up. The normal layperson doesn't come off the hip with that kind of response.

I was thinking that as well. If my dog started a fight at the dog park, my first reaction would not be to lawyer up and sue the other person. Playing with another dog knowing her dog would get jealous and then sticking her hands between two fighting dogs sounds like she was wanting something to happen.

I'm just so upset. She called animal control in my town and they put my dog on 10 day quarantine just on her word. I explained to the officer the situation, but that's the protocol they have to follow, even though she was up to date on all her shots. So I guess my dog has a bite history now.

Yes she is! The town police officer that came said every time there is an incident at this park, this woman is involved. Unfortunately the park was the county's jurisdiction so it was a county police officer that made the report.
Looks like I was really in the wrong place at the wrong time!

If you have a copy of the report, ask the cop if he will stand up with you in court against this woman.
It was a town cop first on the scene, when the county arrived he left. I never got his name. The whole thing was just awful.
Call the same number that was called at first, tell them the time and date, and that you want to get in touch with the officer who responded first for a court case.
Like others, I suspect this woman is a scam artist.
1.) STOP talking to her lawyer. Don't take his calls. Everything you say to him can be used against you.
2.) Consult with an attorney.
