And they had better, by golly, still be sitting on the edge of the counter whenever I get back to the kitchen. My dogs are not permitted to counter surf.

Put both meat and fruit into their supper dishes and both meat and fruit will go down the hatch real quick. Wyatt McRiot eats meat first. Pensive eats whatever is on top first.

I can’t rep you again but exactly! Anything I leave on the counter or table will still be there when I return! I often leave a plate of my food on the sofa, where both dogs are lying, to go to the bathroom, go in the kitchen for a drink, napkin, or salt and pepper, knowing neither dog will touch it.

Itchy breeds like black labs are better off with grain-free Salmon and Sweet Potato (or whatever vegetables). Many other breeds are as well. I've had good luck with Natures Recipe and several others.

Bewares of dog foods that have "contains no corn, wheat, or soy!" on the bag in big letters. Read the ingredients. It possibly still has oats, barley, etc. If a dog gets itchy from grain, hold out for the true grain free.
