Bout 10yrs ago, we suffered a miscarriage in my 4th month. The following weekend, in order to try and boister spirits, my husband and I were doing the round of the local pet stores...no intention to buy...well, we found a darling little puppy in one, and just hit an immediate bond. After the agony of our recent loss, my husband just couldnt say no and we ended up w/the puppy....the pet store told us she was a JRT/Rat terrier mix and would be maybe 15lbs TOPS. and would be on the small side. Well....i think they were mistaken, because our Zoey girl is about 35lbs and about the size of a smallish lab!!! Her fur looks very similar to your little guys, shes black and white though....we never did find out what kind of dog she is, other than a great joy.
Id second that advice to have the vet really check him over and disregard what the pet store told you if the vet disagrees. We did that and got several discrepencies from what the PS told us....all that, and we'd paid 300.00 for her, but she was worth every penny.
