I am sharing this list in the memory of Drago, a beautiful GSD puppy who left the world yesterday after chewing on a tomato plant in his own back yard. I had no idea tomato plants were toxic to dogs. Neither did Drago's now heartbroken owner.
I thought I was pretty knowledgable about toxic plants. But, I just looked at the list and found MANY plants on there that I would never have suspected. I never knew about tomato plants.
ALOE vera is on the list! People eat Aloe and drink it's juice for the health benefits.
A warning from my kennel club:
Recently the home improvement stores have been stocking their shelves with a plant called the "Sago Palm".
It was reported on a list that if your pet ingest ANY part of this plant it will cause liver failure and that even with agressive veterinary treatment 70% of these pets will die.

Another plant to avoid is the Castor Bean plant. A friend of mine sadly lost her German Shorthaired Pointer puppy after he injested just a few of these beans.

Thanks for the link. I am surprised to see so many common plants on the list, e.g. blackberry, blueberry. Not surprised about soy, since that's harmful to humans too.
