If it is a yeast infection try this. it is a natural remedy.
Take 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar and mix it with 1/2 cup of DISTILLED water. Put half an eye dropper full in each ear and massage it in. Let the dog shake the excess out. Do this 2 times a day for a week.
The acid in the vinegar kills the swampy conditions the yeast needs to multiple. It works.

Thanks, I will remember this!
She's doing better, I think. Hates me to give her the medicine (hides) but will roll over for me pretty well and let me do it.

My dog got one I would say 5 months ago. He was scratching alot and he developed a bad hot spot that got swollen. They gave us some meds for him to take and he was fine in a week. I would not mess around and just take them to the vet if anyone suspects there is a problem.

Also if the meds are pills we stuck them in bread or Marshmellows and he sucked them right down.

My hounds can be fun when cleaning ears some stand and just let you do it and others take 2 people to do. I tried giving a friends dog Ivomectrin for heartworm on bread she spit it out. Had to roll the bread in lunch meat and stick in back of mouth for her to take it.

Actually it's 2 types of ear medicine (drops)...she hides under the desk when she sees I have the tube but doesn't snap or bite. (what a difference from the poodles I have known-pointer/labs rule!!)

You can use the distilled vinegar...but this is only for a yeast infection. Be sure you are not dealing with something else!

I swear by Zymox. You can get it online from vetamerica.com much cheaper than at the vet. It's a natural product and it really works.
