This is one of those stories that stretches the bounds of credibility. You can choose to believe it or not. All I can do is swear it's absolutely true.

Nearly a year ago, a beautiful young husky landed at the rural animal shelter where I volunteer, brought in after being spotted alone in a snowy field. Days passed and no one claimed her so she got a name — Alpine —and efforts commenced to find her a home.

Beautiful touching story. I believe it! Some children and dogs have a special connection! It comes from the heart! So nice to see a child with such compassion at an early age like this! Great story!
Thanx for posting it! We need to read about some happy endings in this forum!

Even if it's 'not true' the lesson is lovely..children are pure of heart, like animals and I believe they both love each other very much.

I see this with my son and dog. They have a wonderful bond. She acts like his second mom sometimes!

i totally believe it's true. i see people who just have a way with animals and i truely believe animals are way more tuned in to us than a lot of people think.

i hope this remarkable young lady goes on to do wonderful things with animals. maybe some day she'll be the voice for our silent friends.

I believe ! What a moving story !

I once had a similar expeience with my aunts dog "blue" he was a german sheperd, I loved that dog so much. I was about 4 yo. I remember him telling me he would be going away. I didn't believe him of course until he was gone one day. I swear I cried for what seemed like months. I never really liked my aunt after that. I still think about him, and wonder what ever happened to him.

I believe it too! There are just some beautiful things that can't be explained. My mother and a friend of ours have visited a woman who can communicate with animals. She will tell you about your animal, will tell you what your animal says about you and other things. I keep thinking we should give it a try...but I haven't make it that way to do it. This lady lives about 2 hours from us. If we ever do go, I promise to share.

I think it's awesome. I believe that every animal lover has that one special animal just waiting to meet them and share their lives. I lost mine a couple of years ago, but we met when he was 2 days old and were together until he died at 14 years.
This little girl has an incredible calling and will do wonderful things in her life. Obviously she already feels and understands that she has a "path" that will allow her to help animals. I think it's great that her parents see that she has a special connection and are actively looking for ways to encourage that but are also protecting her from bad reactions.

It's a very sweet story, but I don't believe all of it. I'm sure some parts are true, but not all. Stories twist and change as they are passed person to person, and all it takes is one person who believes it to embellish it and leave out critical details.

I believe, all one has to do is own a fur baby to understand that all of us can communicate with them, if we listen.
