My neighbor thought I was nuts for shoveling paths throughout the yard for the doggies. My doggies are small and one had a hard time jumping through the snow drifts. I know I cannot be the only one! Who else does this?

i had to vote no .... neither of mine is small and even if we got a foot of snow at one time, they would be able to navigate the back yard..... in fact, i would be more concerned with dave using that extra height to go over the fence........

My dog's not that small, and on walks, he likes to run up snowbanks.

We shovel the back porch and steps for the old girl so she doesn't slip going down into the yard.

We make sure that Darcy has a path from the kitchen door, across the deck, and both sets of stairs cleared. She is a pound rescue and has issues anyway of being out of the house. We want to make it as easy for her to go out as possible.

When I clear a path for the peke he wanders off to the snowy part of the yard.
So, yes, I still try to help him, but, no, he doesn't always use it.

If the snow is deep, we will shovel a path across the deck ....once she gets to the lawn she's on her own.
