I would like to see an 18-20 story building. The Alworth is a neat old building, but I would like to see something surpass it in height! I agree on the Kozy area, but if it were redeveloped the riff-raff would move somewhere else. The former Muffler Clinic site would be another good site for a large new building.

I'm interested in where the renovations will spread after A&L's development is finsihed. It will be interesting to see what type of companies start up, expand, or move into that space. Does anyone know of anyone moving into that space?

I have kept hearing on and off about A&L planning something where the old Muffler Clinic was. Some sort of "gateway" to the Lakewalk. Not really sure about much more than that. Hopefully the Renaissance Project finishes up and becomes profitable for them so they can keep going on downtown projects.

Original question: What is Duluth's appeal? Mostly, Lake Superior. I like Duluth.

every time I have been to Duluth I just fall in love with it. I love the scenery, the way the hillside looks with Lake Superior is just spectacular, and the weather is awesome (well I like it anyway). The people I met seemed genuine and not 'fake' they could tell I was an outsider because of my obvious accent ...all in all I felt pretty safe when I was walking around and I was surprised at the amount of things to do within the area given the city's size.

I haven't been to every place in Duluth, but I know the 'bad spots' I seen don't even compare to the 'bad spots' here in Cincinnati. I could see myself relocating to Duluth and hopefully within the next few years I can make that possible.
