I have read that many teenage girls, send as many as 3000 text messages per month. You would presume that the boys are not far behind. What if; in those thousands of texts there were some tiny stepping stones to a better life? Say a text like this: hey dude what can we do to get minimum wage up? Reply: Let's ask the pastor to lead in prayer for a higher $ scale! Reply: who do you know that can help?
Thousands of texts could multiply into millions and could stimulate trillions of brain cells.
Whatsoever the mind can conceive, the body can achieve.

Sorry, more information is needed.

Can you provide the evidence behind this claim?

How do you know the content of their messages are not things to help each other? It could be helping confidence, getting word of an opening at a place people want to work with, help with homework...you don't know.

It sounds a lot like the prosperity gospel with text messaging, where people are asked to pray/ask/beg the universe for more prosperity and suddenly you get it. Many people can conceive of many things in order to create a business, and many of those small businesses fail (50% in the first year alone).

Somehow I don't think that the average teen girl is sending texts out that have anything to do with asking for a prayer on minumum wage. I would bet that you have 3,000 texts that are about nothing more than what is happening at school, with friends, what they are going to do on the weekend, if they saw that cute boy in 3rd period, did you see what that chick wore to home room, what was she thinking. I would doubt that many teen age girls are concerning themselves with getting a better life. Many of those girls are texting my boys and yes the boys are texting back as well. Same can be said about the boys. Most of what they text is not about getting a job or seeing what the Pastor thinks.

The fact is that kids don't text the way we do. They are holding multiple conversations at the same time with lots of kids and those kids are doing the same thing. It is like hanging out without hanging out.

What if, instead of wasting vast sums of time on banal and mindless tripe, they actually prepared for the future, by learning work, financial, and personal responsibility skills?

Seriously? A campaign to raise minimum wage as a personal benefit? What these people need is to be WORTH BEING PAID MORE!!!!
